Bird Watching As a family, we are members of both the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust (WWT) and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). We often visit our local WWT site at Martin Mere and when out on our travels or walking can frequently be seen stopping, binoculars to eyes and bird book in hand, watching the wildlife. We have tried to capture a few of our sightings on the following pages. |
Photography David's interest in photography started in his teens, however it didn't really become a main interest until Rebecca was born. Simeon is now following in David's footsteps and has developed a keen eye. He often competes with David to see who can take the best picture. Fish Keeping From an early age, David has been interested in fish keeping. He has kept and bred tropical fish and was proud to look after Rebecca's late goldfish for 19+ years. From here you can access some information that helps to keep our wet friends healthy. |
Travel The whole family seems to have the travel bug and do not need to be asked twice about packing bags to escape off to some unvisited location. We have tried to give a flavour of our travels on the following pages |
Home Renovation David's first love is adorning his old clothes, unpacking his vast array of tools and doing some DIY. He has renovated two houses, our first home in Lancaster and then the major project of our current home in Manchester. From here you can get some idea of his work and also some tips he hopes you may find of use. |
Walking We all enjoy walking; the wrinklies (Belinda and David) try to get out at least once a week and walk a few miles to help keep fit. The young'uns (Rebecca and Simeon) often join the wrinklies but both have undertaken more strenuous walks. Simeon is an avid hill-walker (Ben Nevis, Snowdon, Helvellyn).... and Rebecca went to India and walked in the foothills of the Himalayas.
