At the start of 2000, I travelled to Holland to spend a few very enjoyable days with my sister Karin and her family. On a very sunny, but cold, Sunday, John, the children and I got on our bikes and went for a ride to the local windmills, some of which were producing alternative energy. A trip to the beach saw "Digger" Dan trying to drain the lowlands with help from "Big" John. It was another cold day, so Ali and Dan wanted Uncle David to enjoy the delights of hot Dutch Pancakes. As the day drew to a close, with everyone snug at home, the children posed for the camera. I was delighted and very proud when Karin showed me all her splendid art work, displayed in the study. Well, the visit came to an end, but I was told to come back soon, especially with the yummy ice cream lollies!
